It’s French for ‘the same thing’. As in, all women, regardless of size, shape, age and style deserve the same (amazing) thing.
No, we are based in New York. But we really believe in equality and the little hat above the e - the accent circonflexe - is pretty wonderful. We make our product in New York, Portugal and wherever we find the best materials and quality manufacturers.
Aside from being certifiable shirt-fiends, we think shirts are the ultimate wardrobe solution. You can wear them to take out the garbage, throw them on over your gym clothes, wear them to work (every day!), on a date, or tuck one into a pair of tuxedo trousers or a ball skirt, the way Carolyn Bessette often did, when something calls for black tie. We felt those timelessly elegant but perfectly fit shirts were hard to come by, so we made our own.
We have found that a closet full of great shirts coupled with a relaxed attitude and bouts of joie-de-vivre can be... life-altering.
Please contact us at email@example.com if you have any more questions, existential or otherwise.
We source and produce our shirts wherever we find the best quality craftsmanship, materials and - of course - ecologically sound practices. From New York to Portugal we also insist on working with partners who strictly adhere to fair labor practices.
If you ever have any questions, please write to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We're here to answer your questions about existing orders, shipping, returns and perhaps even a few other things that are weighing on you. You can also text us at +1(347)-821-9816 and we will get back to you within 24 hours Monday through Friday 9 am-5pm EST.
Product and Fit
Since sizing is totally arbitrary, we decided to create our own naming convention. Our sizes 0-6 translate to traditional U.S. dress sizes 0-20, or XS-3X. See our size chart for more specifics.
Well, after experiencing the rather narrow fit parameters of traditional high-fashion brands, we decided to spend a lot of time perfecting our fit for a wider range of body types. We fit each style on 3 different fit models and made sure the shirts were tailored and complimented the body without being restrictive. Unless otherwise noted, our fit tends to be on the ever-so-slightly generous side because - in the absence of using stretch - we know everyone likes a little room for movement. If you still have questions, you know what to do: reach out to us at email@example.com or call or text us at +1(347)821-9816 and we’ll talk you through it. In the meantime, check out our size guide here
Absolutely not! Not only is dry cleaning expensive and bad for the environment, but it can yellow your whites over time. All of our shirts can be washed on cold, hang-dried and ironed. Our founder, Jessica, finds ironing very meditative. But if you've got no patience (or time) for ironing, make sure you find an eco-friendly dry-cleaner to press the shirts for you.
Shipping and Payment
It depends on where you are. Orders processed here in New York will take 5-7 business days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
Yes we do! There are a few options: regular mail (which takes between 10 days and 2 weeks) or expedited via DHL and UPS. International orders are shipped DDU (Delivered Duties Unpaid) and our international customers are responsible for the payment of any additional associated duties and taxes. We sadly have no control over these charges and cannot predict what the cost will be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country. Please contact your local customs office for current charges.
Même Chose offers free USPS ground shipping on U.S. orders over $175. For orders under $175 ground shipping which arrives in 4-7 business days there is a flat fee of $7.95. Expedited 2-day shipping is available for $14.95. Orders must be placed by 12pm EST in order to be processed same day.
If, for some ungodly reason, you find your Même Chose shirt does not fit or live up to your standards, you may return it within 21 days of purchase. It goes without saying that it must have all original tags attached, remain unused, unworn, unwashed, and undamaged. We cannot accept returns of monogrammed, personalized, or special-order items, or of items damaged through normal wear and tear. Once you initiate a return a pre-paid shipping label will be sent to your email and $7 will be deducted from the total amount of your refund.
For orders inside the U.S. and Canada simply have your email handy, enter it into our returns portal, and follow a few simple steps to have a pre-paid shipping label mailed to you. Exchanges can be made free of charge. For returns, once we receive your shipment we will credit your account in 7-10 business days and deduct a fee of $7.95 from your refund for return shipping.
For international orders please email firstname.lastname@example.org for next steps. You will be asked to ship directly back to our fulfillment center by the carrier of your choice and include the original packing slip in the package.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Apple Pay, and Paypal.
